What’s the Usual Cost for Roach or Flea Treatments from Pros?

Hey everyone,
I’m trying to get a sense of what people usually pay when they call a pro for roaches or fleas. Prices online are all over the place — some folks say $80, others say $400+, and it’s hard to know what’s normal versus what’s someone getting ripped off.

For those who’ve actually hired a pest control company:
• What did you pay for roach treatment?
• What about flea treatments — is it a one-time thing or multiple visits?
• Did the price include follow-ups, or was that extra?

Would really appreciate hearing real experiences.

For roaches, I paid around $120 for a single visit. It helped, but they recommended a second follow-up, which cost a bit extra.

Fleas were more expensive for us. It was closer to $200 because they treated both indoors and the yard. They also came back two weeks later at no additional charge.

Honestly, it depends on how bad the situation is. Light roach activity was about $90 for me, but my neighbor had a major infestation and paid almost $300.

Check your lease. Some landlords cover treatments like roaches but not fleas. Saved me a good chunk of money.

@MapleStreetMom Same thing here. Fleas require more steps, so the cost tends to climb. The second visit made a big difference though.

If the company includes follow-ups in the price, that’s usually a sign they’re legit. The ones who charge per visit can get pricey fast.

We had to deal with fleas after adopting a stray cat. Treatment was $160, but they insisted on vacuuming every day for a week to help it work.

Roach treatments seem cheaper overall. My last place charged $85 for a basic spray and inspection.

I’d recommend getting at least two quotes. One company tried to sell me a $400 “premium package,” and another quoted $140 for the exact same service.

@RentersReality Good call. I’ve seen lots of tenants paying out of pocket when they actually don’t have to.
