What’s the Normal Pricing for Roach and Flea Treatments These Days?

Hey everyone!

I’m trying to get a realistic idea of what roach and flea treatments usually cost these days. I’ve been getting wildly different quotes, and it’s hard to tell what’s considered normal versus overpriced.

This is for a standard-sized home, nothing extreme. I’m curious about one-time treatments compared to ongoing service plans, and whether flea treatments are typically cheaper or more expensive than roach control.

If you’ve dealt with this recently, I’d love to hear what you paid and how effective it ended up being.

Prices really depend on severity and location. Roach treatments often cost more upfront, especially if follow-up visits are included.

Flea treatments looked cheaper at first for me, but once you add repeat visits and pet treatments, it adds up quickly.

I was quoted more for roaches than fleas. Roaches needed targeted treatments, while fleas were more about whole-house coverage.

@BudgetBug If you’re renting, check your lease. My landlord covered roach treatment but not flea treatment.

Don’t forget vet costs if pets are involved. Monthly flea prevention plus home treatment can double the total cost.

I tried DIY first to save money, but it dragged on. Paying upfront for professional treatment actually saved me in the long run.

Size of the home matters a lot. I noticed quotes jumped once I mentioned square footage.

@SafetyFirstSteve That explains why my quotes varied so much—I didn’t realize size affected flea pricing that much.

Service plans sound expensive, but they often include re-treatments. One-time visits can cost more if the problem comes back.

@PestMaster42 Agreed. I switched to a short-term plan and ended up paying less than repeated one-off calls.
