I’ve spent way too much money over the past couple of years trying different pest control products, and honestly, it’s been a mix of hits and misses.
I’ve tried sprays, sticky traps, bait stations, glue boards, ultrasonic devices, and even a few “natural” products that were supposed to solve everything. Some seemed to help for a while, while others didn’t seem to do much at all.
So I’m curious what has actually worked for everyone here.

Which pest control products have given you the best results?

Were they for ants, roaches, mice, spiders, or something else?

Did they solve the problem long-term or just temporarily?

Are there any products you absolutely wouldn’t buy again?
I’m hoping to learn from real experiences instead of relying on marketing claims.
For mice, enclosed traps worked much better than glue boards in my garage. Much easier to maintain too.
Gel bait was the biggest game changer for my cockroach problem. It took a little time, but it worked better than sprays.
I’ve had good luck with outdoor bait stations around the perimeter of my house. They helped reduce rodent activity before they got inside.
@StorageNerd Same here. I kept spraying for months with very little success until I switched to gel bait.
Sticky monitors have been surprisingly useful. Even when they don’t solve the issue, they tell me where the pests are coming from.
With pets in the house, I always look for products that are easy to place out of reach. That limits my options quite a bit.
@HomeFixerFaith What type of pest are you mainly dealing with? I think the “best” product really depends on what you’re trying to control.
For pantry pests, airtight containers and pantry traps made a much bigger difference than insect sprays.
I’ve learned there’s no single product that fixes everything. The best results came from using the right product together with sealing entry points and removing whatever was attracting the pests in the first place.
