Preventing Re-Infestation: What Are Your Best Post-Treatment Strategies?

Hey everyone!
I thought I’d won the war against roaches after bombing my apartment with pyrethroid spray . But two weeks later, they marched back like tiny armored tanks. Turns out, I missed the egg sacs hidden behind the fridge. Now I combine boric acid bait with sealing every crack using silicone caulk. But I’m paranoid—am I overdoing it? What’s YOUR secret to keeping pests GONE for good?

Used peppermint oil for mice. They built a nest IN my diffuser. Switched to steel wool + caulk —game over.

Found bed bug shells AFTER treatment. Turned out they were hiding in my kid’s LEGO bin!

@MousePatrol LEGOs?! Now I’m tossing EVERY TOY. Thanks for the trauma.

Companion planting saved my veggies! Marigolds vs. aphids > any chemical.

Landlord used foggers. Roaches just moved to Unit 3B. Now we share exterminator costs, awkward but effective.

@ScienceBuffBen Sharing? My neighbor’s infestation is THEIR problem.

Food-grade DE on baseboards. Safe for cats… until Mr. Whiskers did parkour and puffed a dust cloud.

@CaveDweller666 DE causes lung damage! Use herbal sachets instead.

Mothballs in the attic, kept rats out but now my Christmas sweaters smell like a funeral home.

Bought a house with termite history. Sprayed bifenthrin yearly—safe or overkill?
