Hello everyone!
After my toddler started crawling, I panicked about using chemical sprays for ants. Switched to vinegar + peppermint oil—ants laughed and multiplied. Finally tried imidacloprid granules for the yard but felt guilty. Now I layer diatomaceous earth indoors and spot-treat outdoors with chemicals. Is this hypocrisy or smart balance? Questions for Debate:
- Has a “natural remedy” ever BACKFIRED for you? (My vinegar disaster…)
- What’s your “no-chemicals-ever” hill to die on? Kids’ rooms? Pet areas?
- Do “organic pesticides” like neem oil work long-term, or are they just pricier?
- Ever regret using chemical pesticides? (I killed my rosemary bush with pyrethrin
)
- How do you protect pets while using harsh chemicals?
