Is there any way to get rid of mice quickly without making a mess?

Hey everyone,

I’m dealing with a mouse problem in my kitchen and pantry area, and I’m really hoping to solve it fast without turning it into a gross cleanup situation. I’ve seen droppings and heard movement at night, but I haven’t actually caught one yet.

Snap traps work fast, but yeah, they can get messy. If you want cleaner results, enclosed snap traps are a good compromise. Same effectiveness, less visual horror.

I had good luck with covered traps too. They caught the mice overnight and I didn’t have to see anything when disposing of them.

I tried live traps at first and honestly regretted it. They caught mice, but figuring out where and how far to release them was a hassle.

If you have pets, enclosed traps are much safer. That was my main concern, and it limited my options quite a bit.

@TechGuru23 Same experience here. Plus, one mouse turned into three because I didn’t seal entry points right away.

Peppermint oil didn’t do much for me. It might discourage them slightly, but it won’t solve an active problem.

Speed comes from combining methods. Trap immediately, then seal holes and remove food access. Doing only one thing never worked for me.

If you want minimal mess, quick-kill traps are actually more humane and cleaner than poisons. Poison just creates smell problems later.

@QuietKitchenNow Check behind appliances. Once I moved the fridge, I found the main traffic area and traps started working fast.

Professional help isn’t always necessary, but an inspection can help identify entry points you’d never notice yourself.
