Made my own humane trap from a 2-liter bottle! Cut the top, invert it, bait with peanut butter - works surprisingly well for small mice.
Peppermint can trigger asthma in some people. I use cedar chips instead, natural deterrent and smells great!
Mice prefer creamy peanut butter over chunky! The texture makes it harder for them to steal bait without triggering the trap.
@EcoWarrior Those compostable traps sound great! Do they work as well as traditional wood ones? Might switch my whole farm over if they do.
For small spaces, I swear by these $5 reusable catch-and-release traps. Caught 8 mice last month and just reset it each time. No mess, no stress!
Sprinkle flour around suspected entry points. The paw prints will show you exactly where to place your traps for best results!
