How Long Should It Take to Stop Seeing Roaches After Treatment?

Hey everyone,
I had my place treated for roaches three days ago, and I’m still seeing a few crawling around—mostly at night, but sometimes during the day too. The technician said it could take a little time, but I didn’t expect to still be spotting them this often.

Totally normal to see them for a bit after treatment. They get more active before they die, so the first week can look worse before it gets better.

For me it took about 10–14 days before the sightings dropped to almost zero. The key is patience and keeping the place super clean so nothing attracts them back.

I remember seeing a few stragglers for a while too. They usually slow down once the eggs hatch and the new ones get exposed to whatever was applied.

@CabinetCrawler Yeah, same experience here. The tiny ones kept showing up for about a week before they finally disappeared.

If you’re still seeing a lot after two weeks, that might be worth asking about. But a few here and there early on is super normal.

Make sure you’re sealing up food and wiping counters at night. Roaches can hang on if they find even a small snack source.

Mine got noticeably better around day 5. Before that it felt like nothing was happening. Hang in there, it kicks in slowly.

Also check under the sink and behind appliances. Even after treatment, those spots stay warm and damp, so you may still see activity there first.

If you have neighbors dealing with the same issue, that can slow down the progress too. Sometimes they wander in from nearby units.

I’d give it a full two weeks before deciding whether it worked or not. Roaches are stubborn, but usually the reduction is obvious around that point.
