How long for mouse trap to work?

@AvaReynolds Adding vanilla to peanut butter really helped lure them in around my dryer vent. Scent goes a long way!

Spring traps are often fastest, as @DanielPhillips said. But I mix in glue traps along corners, works on cautious rodents that skirt around.

Always use fresh, high-protein bait, like nut butter—and reset daily until you see activity.

@LilyHughes Loved your point about glove use. I handled traps with gloves and saw better success, no human scent seems to help.

For me, layering methods works best, snap trap, bait, placement, regular checks. That combo always clears mice within a couple of nights.
