I’ve been dealing with carpet beetles for a while now, and it feels like no matter what I do, they keep coming back. I’ve vacuumed, cleaned, and even tried a few treatments, but I still occasionally find larvae or shed skins.
It’s honestly frustrating because it seems under control for a while, then suddenly they show up again.
Has anyone actually managed to get rid of carpet beetles for good? What finally worked for you, and how long did it take before you were confident they were gone?
I got rid of them, but it took consistent cleaning for a few weeks.
Vacuuming regularly made the biggest difference for me.
The key is finding the source, not just cleaning the surface.
@BugAwareChris Exactly. Mine were in stored clothes I forgot about.
I also used airtight storage for fabrics after cleaning everything.
It took me about a month before I stopped seeing signs completely.
@DeepCleanNora Same situation here. Hidden fabric items were the issue.
If you don’t remove the source, they just keep cycling.
Consistency is what finally worked for me.
Once everything was cleaned and sealed, they didn’t come back.
