German cockroaches — how bad is this really?

Hey everyone,

I recently spotted what I’m pretty sure are German cockroaches in my kitchen. I’ve only seen a couple so far, mostly at night, but after reading online I’m starting to get concerned.

Some sources say even seeing one or two could mean there’s already a larger infestation hiding somewhere, which honestly makes me a bit uneasy.

For those who’ve dealt with this before — how serious is it at this stage? Is this something that can be handled early, or does it usually get worse fast?

If they’re German cockroaches, it’s best to take it seriously early.

Seeing even a few can mean there are more hiding nearby.

They reproduce quickly, so early action makes a big difference.

@PestTrackOliver yeah, they’re rarely just “a couple” unfortunately.

Kitchens and warm areas are their favorite spots.

I ignored a few at first and it definitely got worse over time.

@UrbanRestKyle Same here. Once they start multiplying, it escalates fast.

Check under appliances and inside cabinets.

Consistency with cleaning and treatment is key.

Catching it early gives you a much better chance to control it.
