Hi everyone,
Dealing with a flea problem right now and having pets in the house definitely makes things more complicated.
I’ve started cleaning floors, washing fabrics, and checking my dog regularly, but it feels like everything needs to be done at the same time or it just doesn’t work.
What I’m trying to figure out is:
-
What actually made the biggest difference for you when pets were involved?
-
Did you focus more on treating the house or the pet first?
-
How long did it take before things really improved?
It’s a bit overwhelming trying to manage both sides at once, so any real experiences would help.
Treating the pet and the house at the same time was the only thing that worked for me.
If you only do one, they just come back from the other source.
@CleanCycleTara exactly. I made that mistake early on and it dragged things out.
I focused on my dog first, then immediately followed up with cleaning everything in the house.
Washing pet bedding frequently made a huge difference for me.
@PawHomeDylan Did you check areas where your pet rests most? That’s usually the hotspot.
Carpets and rugs hold a lot more than you think. Vacuuming daily helped a lot.
Consistency is key. Missing a few days can set you back.
It took me about a month before things felt under control.
Once both the pet and environment were handled together, the improvement was noticeable pretty quickly.
