Help! I’ve been battling mice in my attic for weeks. My neighbor suggested using mothballs because “mice hate the smell.” I scattered a few boxes, but the mice are STILL there, and now my attic reeks of chemicals! Do mothballs actually kill mice, or is this a myth?
Mothballs (naphthalene) repel mice but don’t kill them. They just relocate! Try sealing entry points with steel wool and using peppermint oil. Works better and smells nicer!
