Hi everyone,
I’ve been dealing with an insect problem inside my car and I’m trying to decide whether to handle it myself with a bug bomb or just go straight to a professional treatment.
On one hand, bug bombs seem like a quick and affordable option, especially for something contained like a car interior. But I’ve also read that they don’t always reach hidden areas like deep in seat cushions, vents, or carpet layers.
On the other hand, professional treatments sound more thorough, but they’re obviously more expensive and might be overkill depending on how serious the infestation is.
For those who have tried either (or both), what worked better for you? Was a bug bomb enough, or did you end up needing professional help anyway?
I tried a bug bomb first and it reduced the problem, but didn’t completely eliminate it.
Professionals usually do a deeper treatment and know where insects hide, especially in tight spaces.
@RoadTripCaleb Same experience here. It worked temporarily, but I still saw bugs later.
If it’s a light infestation, a bug bomb plus cleaning can be enough.
For heavier infestations, I think professional treatment is more reliable.
Also depends on the type of insect. Fleas or mites can be harder to fully eliminate.
@CleanRideSophie I agree. I vacuumed thoroughly before using a bug bomb and had better results.
Professionals sometimes use more targeted treatments rather than just fogging everything.
Cost is the biggest factor. Bug bombs are cheap, professional services are not.
In my case, I started with DIY and only considered professional help when the problem didn’t go away.
