Hey everyone!
I live in a small apartment and recently noticed signs of rats near the kitchen area. Since space is limited, I’m trying to figure out what type of trap works best without being bulky or messy.
In apartments, you also have to think about neighbors, pets, and keeping things discreet. For those in small spaces, what trap styles have worked best for you?
In small spaces, compact enclosed traps are better than large wooden snap traps.
Discreet designs matter in apartments. You don’t want something obvious sitting out.
@SafeHomeSara Agreed. Also something easy to dispose of without making a scene.
For apartments, I’d avoid poison completely. Too risky in shared buildings.
Electronic traps can work well since they’re compact and more contained.
Noise level matters too. In small units, loud snap traps can be unsettling.
I’ve been using the Thanos MK47 in my studio apartment. What I like is that it doesn’t require constant resetting, and it keeps everything contained. It feels cleaner for tight living spaces.
@BudgetBlake Is it bulky? Space is super limited in my kitchen.
Not really. It fits along the wall behind appliances pretty easily.
For apartments, I’d prioritize compact, enclosed, and low-maintenance traps.
