@BugBuster23 same here, they seem more active when the bulb is warm. During cooler nights they don’t show up as much.
I always assumed wasps just hated the dark and wanted to be where the light was, but food source theory makes sense.
I’ve had luck moving my porch light further from the sitting area. They still gather, but at least they aren’t buzzing around me anymore.
If anyone’s keeping notes, LEDs + bug light filters + relocating the fixture is a pretty solid combo. Saw a noticeable difference in my yard.
