- Use a heavier-duty trap when droppings, chewing marks, or sightings suggest full-size rats rather than mice.

- Avoid poison where pets, children, or secondary wildlife exposure may be a concern.
- If a trap is ignored, change both bait and placement before assuming the product does not work.
