Hey everyone,

Last night I finally caught a mouse in my utility room after hearing scratching noises for several evenings. I’m glad the trap worked, but now I’m wondering if catching one mouse usually means there are more hiding somewhere.

I haven’t actually seen another mouse yet, but I did notice a few droppings behind some storage bins. I’ve heard people say, “If you catch one, there’s never just one,” while others say it can simply be a lone mouse that wandered inside.

I’d love to hear from people who’ve dealt with this before.

- Did catching one mouse lead to finding more?
- How long did you leave your traps out afterward?
- What signs made you realize there were additional mice?
- Or were you lucky and it really was just one?

I’m hoping to avoid overreacting, but I also don’t want to ignore a bigger problem.
