Tried diatomaceous earth along the foundation last fall; barely had clover mites this spring, super simple and non-toxic.
I’ve noticed they love north-facing walls more. Keep your porch edges clean and dry and you’ll notice fewer of them sneak in.
@GardenGeek Oh man, that soapy water trick sounds easy enough! I’ll try that next time, daily quick wipe sounds like a smart deterrent.
Definitely vacuuming as soon as I see a few helps stop the spread. Don’t wait until they’ve made a trail across the whole wall.
For me, combining the soapy wipes, sealing cracks, and using a non-toxic barrier around the perimeter was key. Took a few tries, but the mites are finally under control.
