Hi everyone,
I’m trying to get a sense of what’s actually reasonable when it comes to professional rodent control pricing. We’ve had mice in our attic and walls, and the quotes I’m getting are all over the place.

Some companies are offering basic trapping for a few hundred dollars, while others are pushing full exclusion plans that cost a lot more. I understand every situation is different, but it’s hard to tell what’s fair and what’s overkill.

For those who’ve hired professionals before, what did you pay and what did that service really include?

In my experience, anything under $200 barely scratches the surface. You’re usually paying for traps only, not prevention.

I paid around $650 for a full service, but it included sealing entry points and two follow-up visits. Worth it for peace of mind.

Be careful with super cheap quotes. I learned the hard way that “one-time service” often means they disappear after placing traps.

@BudgetFixer That’s exactly what I’m worried about. A few companies seem eager to rush the job.

Pricing really depends on the house. Older homes with crawlspaces and attics usually cost more due to labor.

As a renter, I’ve seen landlords pay anywhere from $300–$800. The higher end usually comes with guarantees.

@EarthFriendlyTom Did they give you any kind of warranty or re-service if mice came back?

@LindaWild Yes, 6 months. That was a big reason I chose them over cheaper options.

Honestly, if they don’t inspect and seal entry points, you’re just paying for temporary relief no matter the price.

I think transparency matters more than the number. A clear breakdown of what you’re paying for makes a huge difference.
