I once tried releasing a mouse stuck on a glue trap using vegetable oil. It worked, but it was stressful for the animal.

@HumaneHelper Same here, oil breaks down the glue, but the mouse is usually injured or stressed by the time you free it.

Honestly, glue boards are cheap and simple, but they’re not always the most reliable. If dust builds up, the adhesive loses stickiness.

I prefer snap traps. Glue traps sometimes catch bugs instead of mice, which feels like wasted effort.

Glue boards are best as a short-term measure. Combine them with sanitation and sealing entry points for long-term control.
