Does Pest Trap Work on Mites?

I tried using sticky traps for spider mites in my garden. They caught some, but I can’t say it was a comprehensive solution.

I’ve had a similar experience! The traps caught a few, but I had to use other methods like neem oil sprays to really get rid of them.

Honestly, I don’t think pest traps do much against mites. They’re just too tiny and spread out everywhere. You’d probably need something more targeted.

I’ve tried sticky traps in my greenhouse, and they caught some mites but nowhere near enough to fix the problem. They’re better for gnats or flies.

@GreenThumb42 Yeah same here, I only noticed a few mites stuck, but most of them kept thriving on my plants. Ended up switching to neem oil.

From my experience, traps are more like a monitoring tool. If you see mites on them, that just confirms you’ve got an infestation, doesn’t solve it though.

I actually had some luck using traps alongside a humidifier. Mites hate moisture, so that combination slowed them down.

I think people sometimes confuse “traps” with “solutions.” Traps won’t wipe them out, but they can tell you where the hotspots are.

Can confirm, traps won’t clear mites on their own. What worked for me was rotating sprays (soap + oil) and cleaning leaves regularly.
