@RatHunter92 I left mine open and added a lid with a hole just big enough for the rats. Works surprisingly well!

I added a little motion sensor light above the bucket to see activity at night. Not sure if it helps, but it’s fun to watch.

For anyone struggling, I’d recommend cleaning the bucket and bait daily. Keeps the trap more effective.

Can confirm—this bucket setup is worth it if you’re patient. Took me 3 nights, but caught a couple of big ones already.
