Are Springtails Attracted to Light?

Under bright bathroom lights at night, they don’t really swarm the bulb itself. It’s more about damp places nearby, cement grout lines, often.

Skinniest thing that worked: a paper towel strip with a bit of vinegar near the baseboard, springtails hop on it for moisture and you can just toss in the trash.

Leaving a fan on or running dehumidifiers in damp rooms stopped them from showing up in my bathtub area consistently.

At the end of the day, it’s not about light baiting—dry it out, seal entry points, vacuum them up, and they disappear. That’s what worked for me.
