Hey everyone,

I’ve been using traditional snap traps for years, and while they’ve caught a few mice, I’m starting to wonder if it’s time to switch to an electronic mouse trap.

The reviews seem to be all over the place. Some people say electronic traps are cleaner, easier to use, and worth every penny. Others argue that snap traps are just as effective if they’re placed correctly.

Before spending the extra money, I’d love to hear from people who’ve actually used both.

A few questions:

- Did electronic traps catch mice more consistently?
- Were they worth the higher upfront cost?
- Was cleanup really that much easier?
- If you could only choose one today, which would you buy?

Looking for honest experiences from people who’ve tried both—not just marketing claims.

I switched to an electronic trap mainly because I was tired of cleaning snap traps. The catch rate felt similar, but the cleanup was much easier.

I’ve used both, and they have different effects.

Placement mattered way more than the trap itself for me. Once I started placing traps tight against the wall, both styles worked much better.

@ToolboxTommy I completely agree. I blamed the trap for weeks before realizing I simply had it in the wrong location.
